We recently purchased a Linux VPS w/cPanel to do some PHP application based testing. I do not need domains, nor will be doing any reselling, multiple domain hosting, etc.

Could someone direct me to a tutorial/link for how to set up just a single web host account on our new VPS that does not require nameservers or domains (IP based)? I am no network admin and only need the VPS to test an application, we also do not want an actual registered domain pointing to this application so we have no use for them.

I apologize for the noobish question, I am a programmer by nature, not an admin by any means. I have gone through most of the tutorials and cannot see any information regarding how to quickly set up our web host & FTP.
