Default How to add HTML code to my served pages?

Actually I have my domains hosted somewhere under a shared hosting. My problem can be shown in the next email (the one I sent to my actual providers):

* * * * * ** * * * * ** * * * * *
Please, be pattient and forgive my english (my spanish is better)

I've a reseller plan with you and, from the very beggining, my idea is to promote free web
hosting to my students (resell some extra resources to my clients, of course).

About my clients, there's no questions. One control panel to them, etc.

About my students.
I want to give them 5 MB hard disk space, 50 GB bandwidth, 1 mysql database, no mail (they have
their own accounts). THEY CAN NOT HAVE the account with their own domain; they will have
subdomains (,, etc).

can I assign those resources with your control panel to them?
You know the answer: ABSOLUTELY YES !!!

But, the problem is here:
I want that everybody who sees one of those free-pages can see some kind of advise
(or advertisement) who says "This is a free site. If you want to acquire one oh those, contact me"
(or any other html code that I need to 'push' on their sites).

I can not force them to write that code on their pages. It has to be 'hard-coded', by the server,
the service, a CGI or anything that can do it.

Let me write it on very simple images:

| This is a free x1dolar subdomain | { - - That's what I want
|.. Student 1, page 1 contents ....|
|.................-link to page 2-.|

| This is a free x1dolar subdomain | { - - That's what I want
|.. Student 1, page 2 contents ....|

| This is a free x1dolar subdomain | { - - That's what I want
|.. Student 2, page 1 contents ....|

Some of your techie guys told me that it can be done but not usina a shared server, I don't know
if as a reseller can be done and... if you tell me that it can be achieved only with a dedicated
server, well, I'll save some money to do it.

Can it be done?
What do I need to buy from you?

Thanks fot your pattience and imagination.

One of them answered me:
* * * * * ** * * * * ** * * * * *

As previously mentioned by our technicians it can be only performed on
a dedicated server.
The module required to do it is known as mod_layout and isn't something
we can install on the shared servers.

* * * * * ** * * * * ** * * * * *

Looking for that module I found this page:

Have you installed that module or the script (under the page I refer)?

Is it possible on your virtal servers?

Any suggestion?

Thanks for your time.

This is not an easy task to accomplish if you are using one of the commercial control panels to create your sub-accounts.

If you are hosting on one of our VPS plans, we can help you configure this under our additional admin services contract rate of $100/hour. I would estimate this to be around 3 hours of work, depending on the quantity and diversity of sub-accounts you have.

If you'd like us to look into it for you, just submit a ticket acknowledging the fees from

With Cpanel/WHM, this is not that hard (I've done this on one of my domains). I can give you more info if you'd like. I have a CGI script that looks for the <body> tag, and adds whatever code is in another file (outside of their doccument root) after it. It's triggered by an apache handler written in the httpd.conf file. This is very easy on a VPS, and I believe can be done via a reseller account. Contact me if you want some more info.
