    Default Alternative WebMail solutions

    Hi All,

Can anyone give me some guidance on a more user friendly alternative to Horde?

For my clients i want to have a nice simple and clean webmail interface, and do not need a lot of the other functionality.

Whatever solution i use - i would like it to be able to be administered through the Plesk interface (creating users, setting spam filtering, etc).

Roundcube looks like it would do the job, and i have seen a forum post on how to replace horde with it but i am not sure if that procedure is still valid (the post was from over a year ago).

    Any guidance is greatly appreciated.

    Regards
    Neil

the roundcube replacement post should still be valid, but the only way to know for sure would be to try it. You might also check out squirrelmail as an alternative to Horde.

with regards to the instructions on the roundcube replacement, do you have any insight into what the login.php file will look like?

All it needs is the meta refresh tag to redirect to the webmail base installation url. Something like <meta http-equiv="refresh" content="0;url=https://webmail..." /> should work about right.
