Default Cannot find a valid baseurl for repo

I keep getting an WHM error "Cannot find a valid baseurl for repo . . ." and don't know how to fix it. I've checked this forum and Googled for help. One suggestion was to see if etc/yum.repos.d directory for baseurls were not commented out. In checking, there is no yum.repos.d directory and in the other yum directories it says to list the baseurls, but none are listed.

Anyone else experience this or know how to fix?

You should be able to edit the /etc/yum.conf file to include baseurls for your specific distribution and architecture. If, for example, you were using Fedora Core, you could add this section to the end of that file:

    Code:
    [base]
name=Fedora Core $releasever - $basearch - Base - Official RPMs, the same ones that are in installer cd-roms
    baseurl=
    http://mirrors.kernel.org/fedora/core/$releasever/$basearch/os/
    http://fedora.redhat.com/releases/fedora-core-$releasever
