    Default Power issues

    Hello,

Numerous hardware nodes are still being rebooted randomly in our datacenter due to the massive power failures in the entire Seattle area. Yes, our servers are hooked into UPS's and PDU's. Yes, our datacenter is backed up with generator power. The power grid in the Seattle area is fluctuating wildly as more homes and businesses are reconnected. These fluctuations are causing dips and spikes in our datacenter, which are not big enough to trip the generator or UPS's. The PDU's are causing several hardware nodes to reboot.

Administrators are in the datacenter now, replacing and reordering the datacenter to work around the faulty equipment and power circuits.

An administrator is replacing the last of the faulty power systems now. This will cause VPS's hosted on the affected nodes to be rebooted. This maintenance should be complete within the hour.
